Open Blog

For my open blog this week I decided to do further research on the job restrains and how they affect a crime scene investigators home life. What I learned is that many investigators are worn out. They are tired from long-hours, hungry from no breaks, and have barely any days off of work. This adds even more stress onto the investigators besides just performing well. The added stress can make home life uneasy and can make the investigators less interested in other  people's lives of their family. Also since crime scene investigators have to deal with heinous crimes without letting their emotions get in the way, this makes them become somewhat like a robot. This affects the family because the investigators become emotion less and are less sensitive to peoples feelings causing problems at home. Because of their long- hours this means they are on call all the time. At any moment they can be called into work which can really upset family time especially on holidays. To family members sometimes it seems that the victims and their families come first to the investigators over their actual family. It was hard to find all this out about the families. I never realized how negatively affected families by this job. It makes rethink the job I am perusing because I do not know if I am willing to put my family into this trouble. While researching it was very easy to find the negative affects but not many positive ones.
